Mannarkkad is a region in which various religious people live with fraternity. If  Malabar riot in 1921 affects Mannarkkad, this region overcome all problem about riot rather than that , a most  important fact  that , here  two forceful persons who were  rich and they can solve the problems about wealth . They are Mannarkkad Mooppil Nair ( Hindu janmi)  and Kalladi (Muslim Janmi )

            Rather than these two catagories there  were vaisya, muthaliyar(tamil) Chetty (mysore) and Christians( tiruvithamkoor) forms a hybrid of culture in Mannarkkad. Mannarkkad Pooram”  which well known in history of mannarkkad is the resultant of 

combination of these different religion and culture. All kin of people in the region considered as Pooram and Sivarathri Mahlosavam as their on festival with out religion.

                        The presence of Christians also on of here like Marthoma, CSI, Yakkobaya ets.. chetti from tamilnadu is the most important of Mannarkkad. The import festival of Mannarkkad are Mannarkkad Pooram , Govindapuram Ekadashi, Sivarathri ( Dharmarkovil, Ankala parameswari Temple) Soorampooram and Perimbadari palliperunnal. The soil of this region fertilize in the presence of Kunthipuzha which orginate from silentvalley  forest and  Nellipuzha. Mannarkkad is situated in Palakkad dist and 40 Km from Palakkad. It situated north west direction of Palakkad. Here people with different religion and language live friendly with each other. 

                                 National Highway NH 213 pass through  the centre Mannarkkad Muncipality.  The soil favours  farming of coconut tree and paddy. Most of people are farmers. Most of people are speak Malayalam rather than that some people who migrate from different places tamil , kannada , telugu and kannada for usual talk.
